Pro-Rata Calculation

The Pro Rata Calculation tab allows to split the demurrage (or, for Dry Cargo caclulations, despatch) between several parties based on their share of the total cargo.

If a pro rata definition exists and data has been entered within the Pro Rata Calculation tab, the program will print a full time sheet for each counterparty and calculate the share of the demurrage/despatch for this counterparty when the file is saved. You may specify a virtually unlimited number of cargo shares per calculation.

The pro rata definition is a global setting for the entire calculation. The type of pro rata calculation depends on whether a calculation is set to Dry Cargo or Tanker; Dry Cargo prorata is done on the basis of the share of cargo quantity, while Tanker prorata is done on the basis of proration of the Time Allowed.
